In this unit, 5th Graders learned about Aboriginal Dot Painting, color theory, pointillism, and visual story telling. For their final project, students were instructed to incorporate three Aboriginal symbols and create at least two of their own symbols to tell a story about an animal. Inspired by Cape Dorset Inuit art, 4th graders used shape, color, and line to abstract and add emphasis to their fantasy animals. |
