Kindergarteners have been studying what Artists do in the studio. For this lesson students choose from a variety of toys and used their scientific observational skills to draw what they see, paying special attention to shapes and colors. They did an awesome job and were happy with their results! 2nd and 3rd graders created some fabulous Artist Trading Cards in art this week. Artist Trading Cards or ATCs are 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches in size, the same format as modern trading cards such as hockey, baseball, Pokemon, etc. They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist, and can be exchanged and collected by other students or given to family members. It is a fun way to make a small series of similarly themed works! |
