Week 2 April 20
Topic: Art Process using non- traditional materials. I can create artwork using non traditional materials such as sticks, stones, leaves, flowers, tree bark, grass, flowers, flower petals, etc. See student examples to the left. Take a photo of your artwork and send to Mrs. George at [email protected] I can't wait to see what you create! :) There are many artists who use nature to create their artwork, but one of the most well know is Andy Goldsworthy. Andy Goldsworthy creates installation art- a type of art that is used to describe large-scale, mixed-media constructions, often designed for a specific place or for a temporary period of time. Topic: Color!
I can create a rainbow with found objects!
Before Creating your rainbow, you may want to try coloring this coloring sheet to understand rainbow order :)

1. Have a parent help you find objects around your house such as toys, buttons, art materials.
2. Group each object by color- red objects in a red pile, orange objects in an orange pile, etc...
3. Form each color group into one arched line to make a rainbow, in rainbow order:
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.
4. If you can take a picture and share with Mrs. George on your teacher's SeeSaw website! I can't wait to see your rainbows! :)
5. When you're done you could draw or paint a rainbow too!
